Through my sculptures, I tell personal stories, trying to capture glimpses of vulnerability in daily life. My work connects to labour and expectations of male behaviour that I experienced while being brought up in an industrial environment.
By researching routine and rituals, I have tried to understand the space between the conscious and unconscious in moments that are not commonly addressed in the rat race of life.
Genom mina skulpturer berättar jag personliga historier i ett försök att fånga glimtar av sårbarhet i vardagen. Mitt arbete kopplar an till kroppsarbete och förväntningar på manligt beteende som jag har upplevt under min yrkesfostran i industriell miljö.
Med undersökningar om rutiner och ritualer har jag försökt förstå utrymmet mellan medvetande och omedvetande kring stunder som vanligtvis inte uppmärksammas i livets ekorrhjul.
