Objects hang before the eyes of our imagination, continuously re-presenting us to ourselves, and telling the stories of our lives in ways which would be impossible otherwise. *
Our possessions and the intimate narratives they hold are, in some part, us. We pour in sentiment, form attachments and in return they grow. We exist together, altering and being altered by what we keep close. Where one goes, the other follows, sitting bearing witness to our everyday. Aiding us in finding ourselves again, they act, staying present, whilst tracing back.
I asked people to give me a narrative about their possessions. In response, I made them a piece of jewellery, for them to own, temporarily. In this owning, the artwork was changed, dialogues unfolded and the artwork became, if only momentarily, a possession.

Våra tillhörigheter och de intima berättelser de bär på är, i någon mån, vi. Vi fyller dem med känslor, fäster oss vid dem och genom detta växer de. Vi samexisterar, och vi förändrar och förändras av det vi håller kärt. De är ständiga följeslagare och vittnen till vår vardag. De hjälper oss att hitta tillbaka till oss själva, de agerar, stannar i nuet men visar vägen bakom.
Jag bad människor att dela en berättelse om deras ägodelar med mig. I gengäld tillverkade jag ett smycke åt dem att äga tillfälligt. Genom detta ägarskap förändrades konstverket, dialoger utvecklades och konstverket blev, om än tillfälligt, en ägodel.
